    Dear Sir

    I am a retired army officer and a loyal customer of Indigo Airlines. My family and I fly only Indigo, because of their service and punctuality and trust.

    Firstly let me congratulate you and your team for the success of Indigo Airlines, inspite of the Covid pandemic affecting the aviation industry so badly. Its mainly due to your exemplary leadership.

    I am writing this mail to bring to your attention the following issues:

    I had booked return fare (flexi plus) through indigo mobile App on 17 Jan 2021 from Pune to Delhi for four family members. The payment was done online. I had called up indigo customer care executive on 23 Jan at around 11:30 am regarding change of dates.

    I asked him to check whether the new date slots were available. He checked and confirmed availability. He said he could change the dates at his end. I clarified twice with your executive, that there would be no additional fees charged, except airfare differences if any, on Flexiplus fare. I had also mentioned to him that I can do the changes from Indigo WhatsApp on my phone, if there is any additional charges. He said he would do it and confirmed there would be no additional charge, except airfare difference if any. I asked him to check the total fare with the new dates. He said Rs. 6,508/- per person. I again clarified that total fare would be 6,508/- X 4 passengers. He confirmed the same and changed the dates. After confirmation, he told me that I have to pay 6,508/- additional charges. I corrected him saying that additional charges could not be so much, as my previous total fare paid was around Rs. 26,000/-. A asked to cancel the changes and keep the previous dates. He refused, saying it couldn’t be done.

    When I checked the fare details, sent to me, I found that the air fare was Rs. 22,688/-. Additionally I was charged Rs. 2,400/- as booking fees. I called up your customer care centre and spoke to 3 executives and lodged a complaint. They said they would revert back to me within 48 hours after checking call records and waive off the additional charges. It’s more than 48 hours. I haven’t received any call from customer care center.

    Your sales executive cleverly lied to me, inspite of my confirming with him, that there would be no additional charges. This kind of deception of customers and manipulation will definitely hurt the credibility and image of Indigo Airlines.

    I would request you to instruct your concerned officials to waive off the additional charges of Rs. 6,508/-which was wrongly and deceptively charged by your executive.

    It is requested that I travelled from Goa to Chandigarh by Indigo Airlines 6 E 724.
    I have not got my one check in bag.
    We were three members of my family and had three check in bags out of which we got only two.
    Sir I am working as Senior Medical Officer in Punjabi University, Patiala and my husband is Professor and Head, Department of Computer Engineering here.

    SUB: PNR No: EQP8XN passenger name Girish Jain and Vinay Jain travel date 24/04/2022, FLIGHT NO 6E7145 Chennai to Tiruchirapalli.

    It’s a pity on-duty manager P Keerthi despite apologizing on behalf of Javid refunding full amounts, immediately accepting full mistake of Mr.Javid, and explaining to Mr. Javid, customer relationship manager indigo airlines Chennai airport, to accept the mistake of not offering a mask for 30 minutes knowing our mask is damaged, being rude and closing gate making us wait today near gate 12 for 30 minutes, Mr. Javid claims to be the final decision maker for mask rules completely ignoring the orders of the health ministry and risking our life along with hundreds of other lives making us wait without mask near the boarding gate for 30 mins and not offering mask even after an hour of request and resulting his employer to lose of few thousands and most importantly directly pointing raising questions in common public towards the training and HR teams capability.

    Understanding exceptional circumstances due to mental pressure or common disorders these days due to stress, and on request of duty manager Keerthi we accepted to let go of an issue without any refund and claims only on a condition of unconditional apology from Mr. Javid in the presence of all indigo crew who witnessed unethical, unprofessional approach at gate 12 Chennai airport 9.20 am, we intended Mr. Javid to realize the seriousness of subject stop dictating terms, blackmailing to close gates, being rude, ignoring and dragging time to close doors and to his fulfill ego, giving orders to the customer to follow instructions being on the wrong side is not repeated with anyone else which is completely unfair.

    All efforts put in by Mr. Francis, customer relationship manager, and ms Keerthi, duty manager, failed. We fear the same consequences with many poor innocent customers like us today will have to stay at Chennai airport from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm to fight for our rights, running from pillar to post requesting all to follow health ministry guidelines on Aug 21.

    It is not required to remind everyone but once again only to inform adamant, illiterate crooks like Mr. Javid and his supporting team at the gate, as per orders of the government of India, Ministry of health and family welfare, guidelines for domestic travel dated 25/08/2021 point no five subs heading ii clearly states as follows.

    “THE AIRLINES / RAILWAYS / SHIP/ BUS operators shall keep a reserve of masks, face shields, hand sanitizer, etc., at all checkpoints for passengers in case of nonavailability/such items need replacement.”

    Despite the time and again informing you for guidelines and requesting to fulfill roles and responsibilities showered upon you, you continuously provoked us completely ignored us despite standing right in front of you for 20 minutes debating for our rights of airline to provide masks as per guidelines you warned us for dare consequences and finally closed gate right in front of us taking few snaps of the system and forcing us to exit immediately informing gates are closed. We feel 20 minutes were more than enough to arrange a mask for us but due to his stubborn nature or a mental disorder or any other reasons not know to me we have suffered today from 9.30 to 4 pm at airport missing flight to tirchy, missing a meeting with Murugappa group key person for taking possession of assets acquired of 20 megawatts cogen facility with 3500 tcd crushing sugar mill at tirchy by us for Rs 57.5 crores.

    Unfortunately, as key persons of the principal owner, dates were planned. As well our calendar was blocked for Monday at Hyderabad our tickets for tirchy Hyderabad tomorrow which was booked had to be canceled at the same time back from Hyderabad to tirchy to finish uncompleted works our tickets for Hyderabad Chennai and Chennai tirchy again on Tuesday day after tomorrow has to be canceled involving a huge and irreparable time loss. (access and boarding passes attached )

    We, after investing a huge sum of Rs57.5 crores, have to wait for the next meet, which will be scheduled only post-May 15, resulting in a monetary loss of interest on overdraft @ 8 % per annum and time which is more precious seek compensation from indigo based on actual loss including our stay today at taj clubhouse hotel Egmore Chennai and all cost of cancellation of indigo flights as attached.

    We also have faced an embarrassing situation at the gate today; we were insulted and asked to wait for a side shouting around, mental harassment, calls to customer service seeking immediate intervention for 3 hours and waiting outside the reservation office for 6 hours proved in itself.

    We want to hear from top management marked in this email. We request them to investigate all the cc cameras at gate no 12 from 9.10 Am till 10.30 Am and expect immediate action so that the same is not considered lightly and repeated by other staff at the airport.

    Being rude is something that no one will tolerate, irrespective of any situation. For the same reason, we request the nodal officer/ HR manager to investigate and inform us of action kindly. We expect immediate termination of PEOPLE INVOLVED in hi-profile GUNDARAJ today at Chennai airport blackmailing, shouting, and being rude despite being wrong, which we feel should not be tolerated. The same has to be brought to the notice of the respective ministry to check and control before it’s too late.

    As responsible hi net worth citizens and top management of a prominent group marked in this email, we expect immediate action to our satisfaction. If it’s a mistake of the so-called senior customer relations manager,

    Lastly, we would like to inform you that we shall write to the Airport Authority of India to preserve all CCTV videos of 24/04/2022 and request you to keep a copy of the same if legally shared by authorities as we may need same as evidence in future.

    FINALLY WE EXPECT AN WRITTEN APOLOGY FROM THE CHAIRMAN, MANAGING DIRECTOR, AND IF REALISED THE POINT 5 SECTION ii of the order dated 25/08/2021 is disobeyed we DIRECT MR JAVID TO PERSONALLY APOLOGIZE within seven days intimating us his willingness to plan travel to Chennai specifically for this purpose, we advise you to realize and apologize with joined hands in our presence BETWEEN most of THE 30 EMPLOYEES OF INDIGO TEAM PRESENT AT CHENNAI AIRPORT TODAY and send an apology video immediately failing which we would have no other option but to file petitions in the best interest of traveling community.

    Expect senior management to intervene and the HR HEAD TO take the best decision in the interest of the indigo brand name and company. ALSO, EXPECT SOMEONE TO UPDATE THE ACTION TAKEN TOWARDS THE TEAM MISBEHAVING AND OVERRIDING THE INDIA GOVT INSTRUCTIONS.

I have sent numerous email to all the email ids available for indigo airlines. till now no positive revert. i was traveling with a senior citizen and a child of 5 years and my flight got missed due to your non efficient staff at your check in counter. They kept us waiting in the Que and were busy in chit chatting. I paid additional 13,000 inr rs to get another flight.

    i am looking forward for a explanation from the airlines side and compensation against the monitory loss and mental harassment which i faced during the trip. No support from your customer care representative. you guys are making fool of customers and mentally pressing them to pay you twice.
