    myself Aditya Abhay Ponkshe MY CLAIM NO IS 2346725 has been rejected by your company for my COVID19 POSITIVE TREATMENT…I have been mailed to various of ur support system but they have rejected my claim because of sum query …on that the hospital doctor where I was admitted have given a letter on dat but again they are not ready to settled my claim they told m that the hospital is excluded provider .. while I intimated the claim the guy on your toll free num he didn’t told me about the excluded provider hospital ..As my claim is genuine I paid the full bill amount in cash and now I am facing financial crises in this pandemic…
    Almost 5 to 6 years I’m renewing the policy from same company and I facing the problem in claiming how can I trust on dis company

    Our claim 2562948 dt 02may 21 has been approved By Rs 78378 /- against claim Rs 88381/-we paid difference Rs 10003 and get discharge after half an hour we raise objection to your claim relation cell .After one hours they sent another approval of Rs 86878, raising by Rs 8500/- We rush to hospital counter ans ask for refund they replied that we have no option to refund kindly contact to Star health mail regarding same has been given by Medanta Hospital ans has been farwarded to you in due course to support and gerivances cell.
    But sorry to write you that numerous phone on toll free and mails and social media are all in vain
    Our problem still persist

    Can’t Understand these things.I am really upset with this company for taking too long time to take decisions and approve the same.
    Every year I renew my policy and not even single time have I taken any facilities from the policy or my family too. but this is the only thing that happened with me and the amount which you approved is not acceptable. As I know this is a well known insurance company , and the reason I need to know is,once I have submitted all the required documents by mail or original documents physically in the Nagpur head office, Ramdaspeth branch. Nobody ask me regarding any requirement regarding the documents if required more, still i don’t understand that why you have been approved amount Rs.10000/-.i had connected so many times to the company Tollfree No ,but nobody gives me proper information of the same ,from last four months i have sending mails and tried to connect them to get proper reply.but not yet received. If my submitted documents are ok then why only Rs.10000/- approved or you have any query for the same ,why no one ask me ,if you need anything from my end.
    great experience with the insurance company.i am really very disappointed with the decision taken by the company as i taken policy and continuing from so many years and paying highest premium, because of the name of the star health, i can go for the other companies too where i have to pay less premium with more benefits, need to think on that.Why it happened with me only?

  5. Claim No.CIR/2022/181222/3466149 dated 15/11/2021 and Claim Approved under reference No.CLMG/2022/181222/1087673/001 dated 15/11/2021 for Rs.25000. As my Policy having Continuity since 2008. since last 2020-21 my policy was under United India Insurance.
    My left eye operation given by KC Memorial Hospital, Jaipur for 18/11/2021 and accordingly i got it done. Two days after the operation I was informed by KC Memorial Hospital that my claim approved only for Rs.12000 (Once i got approved amount Rs.25000, then next day I got message that claim approved for Rs.20000, and next day I got a message that your claim approved only for Rs.12000. I have paid my premium last year for Rs.23880.. I have mailed different mails, even Admin Vice President, Grievance Cell, none of them replied me. Several reminders sent, no reply, they are needy for our premium only. In my life i found one of the 4th class company operating in India. Many times I tried to contact them but never attend my calls. My total claim amount is Rs.30000, out of which i paid to hospital Rs.5000, and Hospital staff calling me to deposit balance Rs.13000 immediately. How can belief such kind of bloody 4th gtade Insurance Companies.

    I am going to file my complaints in Consumer Court and I have collected all my documents and will claim for more than Rs.1.5 lacs. I have arranged Legal Advisor also. I do not like make fool to others like happened to me. I donot know why their Chairman/CEO Mr.Venkatasamy Jagannathan become silent. I have decided do not renew with this froud insurance company as renewal comes in March, 2022.

  7. Subject: Mental and Physical Harrassment by Star Health Insurance

    I am Rajeev Agrawal admitted in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi. My Claim number is 3783988 dated 25.01.2022. The claim amount for Rs 74076/- was sent to your company by the Hospital. Your claim section put deliberate query to harrass the patient & his attendant as all the papaers were already sent to your compnay by the hospital. Since the query was meant to harass the patient, we paid full amount for Rs 74076/- to Hospital. Subsequentely, without answering query from our side (as papers were already sent by the Hospital) an amount for Rs 60634/- was approved by your compnay. Since we had already paid in cash to hospital, the approved amount was sent back to your company by the Hospital.

    Now I humbly request you to reimberese the already approved amount of Rs 60634/- to me, without giving me further mental & physical harassment. Your representative Vikas Sharma, Janak puri, Delhi is NON COPRATIVE.

    Since Star Insurance is Big Namne and our family is your Customer for last two years and this is the first claim. Therefore you are once again requested to reimburse me already appoved amount.

  8. I had demanded refund of excess premium paid while issuing the policy.previously I had applied for floater top-up policy, then changed to individual top-up policy.Amount realised on the same day, I delivered the cheque. That is 01.11.2022. for Rs.9706/-
    Policy issued on 21.11.2022 for Rs. 6962/-
    Today is 08.02.2023 and balance amount of 2744/- is pending for payment.

  10. very worst and perthitic service by renewal team, i have followed them with several mails and calls for my renewal but till the last day one one have replied me back and so it forced me to move from start health to HDFC ins. very good conversions by star health insurance. finally the last of my renewal my self called the toll free number and one executive name called Divaya (8939347991) picked up my call and speak with rude and right royal behaviors, there is no customer service and when i asked she replied me with lethargic way make me to get irritated. this is how start health insurance team works.

  11. Subject: Urgent and Serious Grievance Regarding Policy Renewal and Unprofessional Behavior

    To Whom It May Concern,

    I am writing this letter with a deep sense of disappointment and frustration regarding the abysmal level of service I have received from Star Health, which is both shocking and wholly unacceptable. As a long-standing Policyholder (Policy No. P/211130/01/2023/002190) with your company, I expected a level of professionalism and respect that seems to have been entirely forgotten in my recent interactions.
    Firstly, I want to bring to your attention the technical glitch that marred my ability to renew my policy premium, which was due on August 16, 2023. I understand that technical issues can arise, but the absence of a reliable and prompt response from your technical support team to rectify this issue is an outright failure on your part. My repeated attempts to contact the grievance department have been futile, leaving me disillusioned with the service I thought I was entitled to as a paying customer.
    Moreover, the situation has taken a grave turn due to the change in my son’s age. Despite my efforts to resolve the matter by personally visiting your branch office and consulting with the branch manager and other concerned officers, I have been met with incompetence and disregard for my concerns. The fact that my son, Mr. Ashutosh Jain, has now turned 25 necessitates a shift from our current Family Health Optima (FHO) policy to a more appropriate alternative. However, instead of assisting me in transitioning to the most suitable policy, your team has coerced me into opting for the Medi-classic policy, citing vague reasons related to “benefits” and “targets.”
    Additionally, it is important to highlight that the branch officers have consistently emphasized that the only policy they are willing to provide is the Medi-Classic policy. This stance has been reiterated despite my inquiries and requests for other alternatives. Moreover, their repeated use of excuses, such as blaming technical issues with the STAR Portal for not picking up my details, appears to be irrational and an attempt to shift blame away from their own shortcomings. This raises serious concerns about their commitment to transparency, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
    To make matters worse, the behavior exhibited by your branch manager and the officers is nothing short of disgraceful. Their unprofessional attitude, rudeness, and illiteracy in dealing with a concerned ¬¬¬¬policyholder are deeply disheartening. Instead of addressing my legitimate concerns, they have mocked and belittled me, even going so far as to call me “stupid.” This kind of behavior is not only unethical but utterly unacceptable from a reputable insurance provider.
    Given the circumstances, I find myself trapped in a situation where I have no choice but to consider switching to another insurance provider. It is an unfortunate and regrettable decision, as I have been a loyal customer of Star Health for a considerable period. However, the level of disrespect, lack of responsiveness, and unprofessionalism displayed by your representatives has left me with no other recourse.
    I demand immediate attention to this grievance and a resolution that addresses the technical glitch that prevented my premium payment, as well as the improper behavior and inadequate assistance from your branch office. I expect a formal apology for the unprofessional conduct I have been subjected to, and I insist that a suitable policy transition be arranged for my son and me.
    I trust that you will treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves, and that you will take steps to rectify the damage done to your brand reputation. It is my hope that this grievance serves as a wake-up call to improve your customer service standards and ethical conduct.
    Failure to address these issues promptly will leave me with no choice but to escalate this matter further through legal avenues and public forums, which I am confident will not reflect positively on Star Health’s reputation.
    Additionally, I want to make it abundantly clear that in the event of any uncertainty or claims arising as a result of the aforementioned circumstances, Star Health shall bear full responsibility for any financial, emotional, or legal repercussions. This includes, but is not limited to, any disruptions in coverage, delays in policy transition, or adverse effects on claims processing that may occur due to the mishandling of this situation.
    It is incumbent upon Star Health to rectify the situation promptly and ensure that all necessary steps are taken to prevent any adverse consequences for me and my family. I expect a written confirmation of the resolution to this matter and the steps that will be taken to mitigate any potential negative impact on my policy, coverage, and claims processing.
    I reserve the right to pursue appropriate legal action and compensation for any damages incurred as a result of Star Health’s negligence, unprofessionalism, or failure to uphold its responsibilities as an insurance provider.
    I anticipate a swift and satisfactory resolution to this grievance, as it is in both parties’ best interests to maintain a positive and mutually beneficial relationship moving forward.
